Moving slowly and carefully, the Koala spends her life aloft, consuming  a significant part of the landscape, one Eucalyptus leaf tip at a time. From this diet she derives all her solids and liquids. From here she raises her young, first in the pouch, then on her back. Conversation between mother and child is loud and aggressive, while their behavior is gentle and placid.
